Welcome to Board.Vision Tutorials. In this tutorial, we will walk you through the steps to create a user with an Auditor role. 

Important Note: The Board.Vision web app is optimized and supported for desktop use on Google Chrome (version 65.0 and later) and Microsoft Edge (version 87.0 and later). Please note that this support is intended for desktop environments and is not applicable to mobile devices.


To create an Auditor: 

1) Log in to your Board.Vision account using your registered email address and password. 


2) From the left menu, go to Users, and click on +Add User.


3) In the Add User page, enter the mandatory fields and select Auditor from the System Roles section. 


4) Scroll down to Contact Information and enter the user’s Primary Email and Mobile Phone number.  


To set the Auditor's access time range,


5) Go to the Auditor's Access Time Range and select the BV Access Time Range End Date*. 


*End Date refers to the date the Auditor's access to Board.Vision ceases.


Important Note: Once you have activated the Auditor's User account, the Auditor's access to Board.Vision will also be activated. 


To allow Auditors to access Approvals,


6) Go to Approval - Access Time Range and select the Start Date and End Date


Important Note: Once the start and end date range has been set, all the passed Approvals dated within the date range, will appear in the Accessible Approvals box.


To disallow Auditor access to certain Approval(s) within the date range set,  


7) First, click on the white box under the Accessible Approvals section, then select the Approval Name from the Search to grant access pop-up window.


By selecting the Approval Name, you are removing it from the Accessible Approvals section.


Alternatively, you can click on 'x' to remove the approval from the Accessible Approvals section.


To disallow Auditor access to ALL Approvals,


8) Select the Not Applicable checkbox.


To allow Auditors to access Meetings


9) Go to Meeting - Access Time Range, and select the Start Date and End Date.


Important Note: Once the start and end date range has been set, all the past Meetings with a end date that is dated within the date range, will appear in the Accessible Meetings box.


To disallow Auditors access to certain Meeting(s) within the date range set,  


10) First, click on the white box under the Accessible Meetings section, then select the Meeting Name from the Search to grant access pop-up window.


By selecting the Meeting Name, you are removing it from the Accessible Meetings section.


Alternatively, you can click on 'x' to remove the meeting from the Accessible Meetings box.


To disallow Auditors access to ALL Meetings,


11) Select the Not Applicable checkbox.


12) To activate the Auditor, click on the Activate and Send Invite or Activate button at the right top corner of the screen.


*Note: If you had selected the Activate button, the user will not be notified via email of his/her account being created. Administrators will opt for this button if the user has been added to other company(ies) and previously set his/her password before.


Important Note:

The auditor is only allowed to access scheduled/ongoing/ended meetings and passed approvals.

If a meeting or approval is canceled/archived, the auditor’s access will be automatically be removed.
