There are some updates to the user interface design in the Users and User Groups modules.


Below is a comparison of the previous and current designs for your reference. 



1. Deactivating / Reactivating An Existing User

Previously, to deactivate or reactivate a User, the Administrator could set a past, current, or future date for the Effective Date. Now, the Effective Date field is set to the date when the Administrator deactivates or reactivates the User and it is non-editable.

Previous Design 

On the Deactivate User pop-up window, the Administrator
 was required to enter the Reason and 
Effective Date.


Administrators could set a past, current, or future date as the Effective Date.
Current Design

On the Deactivate User pop-up window, the Administrator is only required to enter the Reason. 


The Effective Date is set to the date when the Administrator deactivates the User, 
and this field is non-editable.
 



Previous Design 


On the Reactivate User pop-up window, the Administrator was required to enter the Reason and Effective Date.

Administrators could set a past, current, or future date as the Effective Date.

Current Design

On the Reactivate User pop-up window, the Administrator is required to enter only the Reason. 

The Effective Date
 is set to the when the Administrator reactivates the User and this field is non-editable.
 



2. Deactivating / Dissolving An Existing User Group

Previously, to deactivate a User Group, the Administrator could set a past or current date for the Effective Date, and when dissolving a User Group, he/she could set a past or current date for the Date Removed. Now, the Effective Date and Date Removed field is set to the date when the Administrator deactivates or dissolves the User Group, and it is non-editable.

On the Deactivate User Group pop-up window, 

the Administrator was required to enter the Reason and 

Effective Date.

 

Administrators could set a past or current date for the Effective Date.

Current Design
 

On the Deactivate User Group pop-up window, the Administrator is only required to enter the 
Reason. 
 

The Effective Date is set to the date when the Administrator deactivates the User Group and this field is non-editable.

On the Dissolve User Group pop-up window, the Administrator was required to enter the Date Removed and Reason.

Administrators could set a past or current date for the Date Removed.

Current Design

On the Dissolve User Group pop-up window, the Administrator is only required to enter the Reason. 

The Date
 Removed is set to the date when the Administrator dissolves the User Group and this field is non-editable.
